what we believe:
Statement of Faith:
1. The supreme authority of the Bible and its sufficiency as our only rule of faith and practice. The Bible as infallible and inerrant in its original manuscripts. (Hebrews 4:12; Revelation 22:19; 2 Timothy 3:16)
2. That God exists eternally and that He manifests Himself in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. (Matthew 28:19-20)
3. That Jesus Christ was born of a virgin, and that He is truly God and truly man. That the Lord Jesus Christ, after having been buried following His crucifixion on the cross of Calvary, rose bodily from the dead, and that He is Savior and the only Savior through whom sinful man can find forgiveness and salvation. (Luke 1:30-35; John 1:29)
4. That forgiveness and salvation, made possible by the death of Jesus Christ on the cross, come to man through faith in the Crucified One – the Lord Jesus Christ – and that salvation is a gift of God’s grace. (Romans 3:10-23; Ephesians 2:8-9)
5. That Jesus Christ Himself will come again to this world to rule and reign in righteousness and that His coming again is imminent and that it will be literal, personal, visible, and sudden. (John 14:6; 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17)
6. That the Holy Spirit is a Divine Person as truly as are God the Father and God the Son. (Matthew 28:19; John 15:26) The Holy Spirit inspired men to write the Scriptures. (2 Timothy 3:16; 2 Peter 1:20-23) Through God’s Word the Holy Spirit convicts individuals of their sinfulness and of the righteousness of Christ, draws them to the Savior, and bears witness to their new birth. (John 16:7-11; 1 Thessalonians 1:4-6; Romans 8:16)
7. That there shall be a bodily resurrection of the just and of the unjust; for the former, a resurrection to life; and for the latter, a resurrection to judgment. (1 Corinthians 15)
8. That it is the privilege of every Christian who is in fellowship with Christ and His Body, the Church, to receive personal instruction from the Word of God: The Bible.
9. The separation of Church and State.
10. A regenerate (born again) Church membership (Acts 2:41)
11. The symbolic ordinances of believers’ baptism by immersion (Matthew 28:18-20; Acts 8:37-39; Romans 6:3-4) and communion of the Lord’s Supper (1 Corinthians 11:23-26) in obedience to the command of Christ. (John 14:15)
12. A worldwide program of missionary endeavor and evangelism in obedience to the final command of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. (Matthew 28:19-20)
