The Five LIFEhouse Purposes

Growing in our relationship with God as a devoted follower is our utmost priority. To help you identify what this means, we've identified 5 LIFEhouse Purposes that drive us in all we do. From message content to Small Group materials and curriculum, it is our goal to help you establish a personal relationship with Jesus, and grow to love and know Him more each day.

As a fully devoted follower, we encourage you to:

1. Worship Your God Enthusiastically:

by attending worship services regularly, giving of your time, talent and treasure, integrating worship into your daily life, and having a consistent prayer life that impacts your spiritual growth.
Matthew 22:37 Jesus replied: "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind." NIV

2. Connect with Your Church Family Regularly:

by being an active member in a LIFEgroup, committing yourself to maintaining biblically healthy relationships, and being a catalyst in helping others connect in relationships.
Matthew 22:39 And the second is like it: "Love your neighbor as yourself." NIV

3. Grow in Maturity Consistently:

with regular Bible reading and study, exposure to spiritual growth resources, and developing your spiritual gifts and leadership abilities.
Matthew 28:19-20 Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age. NIV

4. Serve Others Unselfishly:

by serving consistently in a church ministry and missions or community service project, and being receptive to the needs of others.
2 Corinthians 4:5-6 For we do not preach ourselves, but Jesus Christ as Lord, and ourselves as your servants for Jesus' sake. For God, who said, "Let light shine out of darkness," made his light shine in our hearts to give us the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ. NIV

5. Share Your Faith Effectively:

by developing relationships with un-churched people, sharing your personal testimony, and inviting others to worship events.
Luke 19:10 For the Son of Man came to seek and to save what was lost. NIV
We believe the passionate pursuit of each of these areas enables us to become the "Fully Devoted Follower" that God designed us to be.
